Shopinas surfs to La Union for Go Negosyo Money Market Encounter Program

From General Santos, the next stop for the Go Negosyo Kapatid Mentor Me Money Market Encounter program (KMME) was in Bauang, La Union. This next stop was to target Ilocos Region MSMEs that are graduates of the Kapatid Mentor Me programs. The attendees were around 200 entrepreneurs from all over the Ilocos Region – Region 1. It was held at Hotel Ariana, Bauang, La Union last October 26, 2018.

Every MSME present was carrying their own product. So there was an assortment of products from peanut butter, turones de mani, chicharon up to fruit wine. We weren’t surprised to find these products in this event.

We figured that out the time the shopinas team arrived in La Union. La Union is rich in fruits, foods and lots of surfing memorabilia. They have grape farms that is perfect for picking.

We had fun going around La Union. We wish we could stay longer.

It was the perfect venue to invite MSMEs all over the region. Everyone, was enjoying themselves over the welcome address of Mr. Florante Leal, Regional Director for Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 1. This focused on reminding the Region 1 MSMEs to maximize the opportunities that will be given to them.

As Go Negosyo KMME graduates, these MSMEs are inspired to take their businesses to the next level.

Thus, Engr. Merly Cruz for Philippine Center of Entrepreneurship discussed the overview about Money & Market Encounter and Innovative Approaches in Developing MSMEs. She explained how essential each panel discussion from Money, Market to Digital, was to help them decide what can perfectly work for their businesses.

Michelle Anne Lim, Marketing Specialist for Air21 Global Inc. / Shopinas, shared about Air21 Global’s service of end-to-end eCommerce solutions from storefront, payment and logistics. Shopinas also got to   position itself as a flagship project for Air21 Global and the All-Filipino marketplace aimed to serve the Filipino MSME.

Along with discussing about digital, she positioned the Lina Group of Companies as the one-stop-shop for eBusiness needs. Another key service, she was able to present is the Air21 Backhaul service. This piqued a lot of interest from MSMEs considering it offer cheaper logistics cost.

They had an open forum for the MSMEs to ask the panelist about their questions on digital, logistics and payments. There was also an area for a one-on-one consultation with the MSMEs to check what services fit their business best.

It was another great event from Go Negosyo and DTI. For MSMEs waiting for the next one, Cebu is up next.

You can ask your Go Negosyo co-mentees and check with them if you are eligible to join the next batch. For our Visayan KMME Graduate MSMEs,  We will see you in Cebu!
